A space is never neutral. Long before anyone speaks, a room is already shaping how people think, feel, and remember — and that is the material I work in.
I learned scenic artistry as an apprentice to Joseph Novak — former Art Director of the Metropolitan Opera and ABC Television Special Events — who taught me to paint and to think in scale. I came to know the crafts of theatrical production: set design, fabrication and construction, and lighting. I went on to train in stage-management at The Washington Opera at the Kennedy Center. This rich theatrical lens is one I carry into every environment I create.
For more than twenty years, I have designed and produced spaces for the most-watched live events in the country — the Democratic National Convention, the Tony Awards, the MTV Video Music Awards, NBA All-Star Weekend, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions, a Presidential Inauguration, Spotify events, Riot Games championships — and countless other events. My expertise lies in crafting a strong point of view, integrating brand identity in unexpected ways, and transforming ordinary venues into environments that move people.
I offer creative direction, production design, and art direction across live events, broadcast, music, film, and television — along with the full spectrum of experiential and talent-hospitality design that surrounds them.

A multi-day event for Target Leadership and Team Members from across the country to come together for team building, business updates, and special performances.
My charge was to transform the interior of a sports arena into serene, upscale environments for Target leadership and guest talent — and to reimagine the brand inside them. Rather than default to the familiar red, white, and black and the bullseye logo, I built the design around Target's modern sensibility: real product, unexpected color and texture, and original bullseye-derived patterns I developed and produced on custom soft furnishings. Fluorescent light and oddly shaped locker rooms became the raw material for something genuinely elevated — proof that a brand can live in an environment without ever shouting its own logo.
Project Profile: TARGET NATIONAL MEETING
An epic Esports tournament by Riot Games for their video game, Valorant. Teams from around the world converged on Los Angeles, California to compete in the exhilarating live 2023 Championships.
As Art Director and Scenic Designer for Act 1 of the Opening Ceremonies, I built the environments for a filmed sequence that moved through six distinct locations — storyboarded and shot before the finals bracket was even set. Beyond the ceremony, I designed and fabricated an original world of branded props and décor drawn from the Valorant universe, and created twenty-one dressing-room and practice environments for competing teams, coaches, and talent — directing both the creative vision and the hospitality that kept the world's best players at ease. Esports at broadcast scale, built from the game's own mythology up.

Broadway’s biggest night! A live televised awards ceremony recognizing excellence in theatre. Presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League.
For many seasons I designed the Green Room for Broadway's biggest night, often inside the legendary Radio City Music Hall — the retreat where winners, presenters, and principal performers step away from the spotlight. The creative challenge was reinvention: a wholly new design within the same footprint, year after year. It became something guests anticipated — an annual reveal — and the custom throw pillows I designed each season turned into coveted collectibles. Proof that a point of view, expressed in a confined space, is what people remember.

A live broadcast corporate event for Spotify to share their latest developments designed to help content creators reach a global audience.
For Spotify's live-broadcast showcase, I transformed an empty warehouse into twenty distinct environments for executives, guests, and talent — spaces that had to flex from focused work and performance prep to comfortable viewing of the live stream. The challenge was range: twenty rooms, one coherent point of view, taken from bare industrial shell to broadcast-ready. An exercise in giving raw square footage a personality.
Project Profile: SPOTIFY “STREAM ON”
An intimate outdoor music festival set on 100 private acres in the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California.
On one hundred private acres in the Sierra Nevada, I designed seven distinct performance and audience environments for an intimate four-day festival. Each had to read beautifully in both natural daylight and stage light, weather four days of the elements, complement wildly different genres, feel playful and family-friendly, and make use of the land's existing structures — all on a micro-budget. Resourceful, scenic-minded design, where invention mattered more than spend.

Delegates from all 50 states and US territories come together to rally behind Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. The convention is a time to build on progress, lay out what’s at stake, and unite around shared values of democracy and freedom to create a future for all Americans
Across two conventions, I designed and produced the environments where the nation's elected leaders, guest speakers, and performing talent prepared to take the stage. A live political broadcast of this magnitude leaves no margin for error; the work called for spaces that were calm, functional, and quietly elevated — letting high-profile guests focus while the eyes of the country waited just outside. Designed for efficiency, efficacy, and esprit de corps, alongside an exceptional production and producing team.
